Drumbeat II

Drumbeat II was carefully designed from a combination of experience gained from operating the Laura Rose and Drumbeat I and using state of the art design to produce the Ultimate sea going and user friendly vessel.

She is fully constructed of Aluminium and is powered by twin turbo charged Cummings diesel engines. Extensive research was done by the designer ALex Simonis to achieve the extremely high tech hull shape.

Work commenced on Drumbeat II in March 1996 in a factory in Montague Gardens. She was built by a professional boat builder, Mr. Lloyd Leonard and his team, who is recognized as one of the leading aluminium craftsman in the country. She was launched in Table Bay Harbour on friday 2 May 1997.

Drumbeat II - 120 pax

Drumbeat II is licensed to carry 120 people. She offers plenty of inside and outside seating, bar facilites, user friendly toilets and underwater viewing by means of a camera.

Drumbeat I

Drumbeat I, was the brain child of Barrie Geeling the owner of Drumbeat Charters. She took close to five months to build by local boat builder Raymond Cooper and was launched 2 November 1992 in Table Bay harbour.

Drumbeat I - 60 pax

Drumbeat I is licensed to carry 60 people and has a built in bar facility if required. She offers brilliant up close viewing.
